Transport Hawaii has been providing long
distance auto shipping from Idaho to
Hawaii and from Hawaii to Idaho for over
twelve years.
Our car carrier
will deliver your vehicle
to the closest port of your choice (Seattle,
WA, Long Beach, CA or Oakland, CA). We
need a 3-5 day window to pick up your
vehicle. Once loaded on
the car carrier, delivery time to the Port of
Seattle is approximately 1-2 days, and
2-3 days to the Port of Long Beach.
Only the
ports of Seattle, WA., Oakland, CA., and
Long Beach, CA. ship vehicles to Hawaii
* Vessels to Hawaii
depart the Port of Long Beach every
Saturday.
To meet that
Saturday's departure, your vehicle must
be at the port no later than 2:00PM on Wednesday.
*
Vessels to Hawaii
depart from Seattle every other
Sunday.
To meet
that Sunday's departure, your vehicle
must be at the port no later than
11:00AM on Thursday.
Once loaded on the vessel, the ocean
time is approximately five
days on the water. All vehicles
and freight are offloaded at the port of Honolulu,
taking 3-5 days.
If you are going to a neighbouring
island, your vehicle will be barged over, taking an
additional three to five days.
Any and all
freight shipping from the port of
Seattle, WA. to Hawaii may be subject to
a random U.S. Dept. of Agriculture
Inspection. If your freight is selected
for inspection, a $70 fee will be
imposed by the USDOA.
Please note that the containers in
Seattle are smaller than the ones in
Long Beach. Please see our
home page
for details.
The preferred method
of vehicle shipment is either in the
vessel garage or in specialized auto
frames. Containers are not generally
loaded with automobiles. However,
at the discretion of the terminal
operations, occasionally vehicles are
loaded into closed containers.
If you want
to guarantee your own exclusive container you must
order one. The cost of a 20' or 40' container
is determined by miles from the vehicle
location and back to the port. We
have bi-weekly departures out of
Oakland, CA and Seattle, WA, and weekly
departures out of Long Beach, CA. Let
our Hawaii auto shipping experts assist
you with all of your Hawaii car shipping
needs. For more info, please see our
home page.
